Eugen Resendiz Bontrud

Dr. Resendiz Bontrud earned her PhD in Public Health Sciences at the Brown School, Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her Master of Public Policy and Bachelor’s in Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico. Dr. Resendiz Bontrud studies the place-based and spatiotemporal factors influencing physical activity and other health-related behaviors to reduce health disparities. She is passionate about promoting a stronger multidisciplinary work between public health and urban design using methodologies from both study areas. Her main area of research is the context-specific relations between the built environment and health through understanding geospatial social and health disparities, emphasizing Latin American populations.
